Vacaville Boudoir Photographer | Why Boudoir?

If you have been following me for any length of time you know that I love boudoir. Boudoir is commonly mistaken for a lot of things, but what’s not often talked about is WHY women do boudoir.

There are many ways and reasons we kind of lose ourselves as time goes on. Maybe you’re a mom, a busy college student, working a blue-collar job, or nursing. You’re busy and rushed and in a cycle of chaos, then suddenly it’s date night, you stare into your closet and you don’t even know who you are anymore. A Boudoir shoot gives you a day to pamper yourself, get dressed up, have your hair done, and get intimate photos. The posing, the studio, and the music are all extremely empowering and before you know it you’re strutting like Beyonce right out the studio door with a new sense of self-love.  I won’t explain how it happens, because I want you to experience it for yourself. 

It can be done as a groom’s gift, a surprise gift for your husband, but also a gift for yourself. 

Booking the shoot will inevitably lead to anxiety, a case of what the hell am I thinking, and overall panic….but sit in those feelings, let them pass, and come in. After a few poses, you’ll feel set free and your panic will fade away. I always show a few shots from the back of the camera just to show you how well you’re doing.

Also, I always like to mention, the photos you see on my website and on my social media, the ladies were okay with me sharing them. It is not a requirement, and if you want to keep your photos private that is 100% okay.
